Ref: split001
Year: 1963
Body: Panel Van
Colour: Blue & White
Engine: 1500cc
Voltage: 6V
Condition: This is a good solid bus, that has a few dents and scrapes as you would expect from a working van. The body work is all very original and comes complete with front towel rail bumper and heavy duty aluminium construction roof rack. The van also retains it's original 6V electrics.
It would serve as great base for a restoration project or would be superb as a rat runner for those that want to get straight on with using it. The cargo door edge does have rust but is not rotten and as can be seen from the pictures, the chassis and the inner wheel arches are in excellent condition as is the cargo bed. At some point in its life it has had a replacement bulk head as the original had been cut out. The cab floor is good with a little peppering of rust holes. The bulk head above the engine now has a makshift removalble inspection panel again fitted at some point in its previous life. The van also has an interesting history point in that the signature of the factory worker that painted the van is located in the front right hand side light housing, written in wax so that the top coat of paint would not take to it.
The engine is a very strong 1500cc which benefits from a pair of twin 36 Delorto carb's.
The van now has a fully adjustable front beam and is narrowed 2", it also benefits from a pair of dropped spindles. The rear end has also been lowered one spline and the whole thing sits on BRM's.
