Originally a Deluxe sunroof microbus van, we supplied this bus as a project bus and were also asked to restore it. Our customer wanted a westfalia poptop van. This was the perfect donor. Being a sunroof van it has all the correct pressings around the roof appature to accept the westfalia roof. So the work began, on starting to strip the body, we found some old accident damage probably carried out in the late 70's early 80's judging by the way it was repaired. We effected the necessary repairs.

We also had to repair the rear part of the roof which we knew to be rotten. So we sourced the part and made the repair. We had to also do the usual cab floor, battery tray and screen repairs that are still so often seen even on import busses.

Once all the repairs were sorted, the van was then sorted with a new paint job. Our customer chose to go with an original VW Pearl White on the top and his own choice of colour for the bottom which was the Seat Colour Azul Canica. We also had to source and repair the fibre glass poptop.

Once all the body and paintwork was sorted, the van was re-assembled, MOT and now registered. We fitted the roof with a brand new original spec canvas. Made in Germany to the original westfalia spec these things are brilliant. Once complete the van made it's maiden voyage up to Manchester without a hitch.
